I am a fifty-something empty nester living in a new place and trying to do more, learn more, create more.  For my day job, I am an in-house attorney for a national conservation organization – and I love what I do!  But there’s more to life than work, and this blog is intended to provide a place for me to chronicle my adventures in cooking, gardening, traveling, decorating, and other pursuits.  I seriously do not expect that anyone other than my mother may want to follow, but this blog will give me a place to post my attempts, successes and failures as I try to improve at the things I already love doing and do more new things.
